Introducing…..
I would like to introduce to you….THE COLLECTIVE
The collective are a group of jewellers that have come together to become the designers in residence in the jewellery department in Dundee University.
We are Sarah Brown , Jane Gowans , Katie Lees , Hannah Livingston and Kate Pickering and we are a mixture of graduates from Dundee University and Glasgow School of Art.
We have created THE COLLECTIVE to generate alternative jewellery exhibitions under the Designer in Residence umbrella.
This is the first year that the designers in residence have taken the reins and organised an exhibition to showcase their work and I am very excited to be a part of it.
The first exhibition “These Four Walls” challenges the preconceptions of a ‘jewellery exhibition,’ inviting the viewers to become the exhibition. Each invitee exhibits a piece of work made by one of the designers and is presented in a room filled with mirrors, heightening the awareness and challenging their preconceived thoughts.
The exhibition is designed to stimulate thinking and create conversation
These Four Walls will take place on the 25th February and there will be more exhibitions to follow.

The Collective sounds great. and I would so love to come to the exhibition but unfortunately Dundee is a tad to far away! Hope to see some pictures. Good luck with the exhibition!
